Course - ITC Forest Schools First AidOur Awarding Organisation 'ITC First' has a well established relationship with Andy Forsyth and 'Archimedes Training' who have designed and developed this Forest Schools First Aid course. The course content and context is totally integrated with the Forest School ethos and rationale. Who is it Suitable for? It is a two day course suitable for:
Certificates are valid for 3 years. Please note: The ITC Forest Schools Fist Aid course covers adult and child (ages 1 - pre-puberty) treatments and not infants (0 - 12 months). This means that it is NOT a Paediatric first aid course and therefore is NOT transferable to early years (EYFS) statutory requirements for Paediatric first aid. Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the candidate, there is no final examination. Those who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are awarded a certificate that is valid for three years. The certificate entitles the candidate to be a First Aider for 3 years from date of issue. No previous first aid experience is required to attend this course. Course Timings 09:00-18:00 on both days. Course Content
We can run in-house training at your venue for groups of up to 12 per instructor. You simply need a room large enough to not only seat everyone but also to allow them to lie on the floor and be rolled around without bumping into furniture or each other. Ask about organising a course for your group >> All ITC awarded 8-hour and 16-hour courses are delivered from the same manual. The assessments for Forest School First Aid, Outdoor First Aid, Outdoor First Aid Emergency Action and Emergency First Aid at Work +F are very similar, with courses being assessed in the same way. When attending one of these courses, it may run alongside another course – however, you will only be awarded the qualification for the course which you enrolled for. Should you require a second award or dual award, it is possible to be assessed for this at the same time.
